ShareLaser welding, also known as laser beam welding (LBW), produces the heat by the application of a highly concentrated beam of light, which is a new type of welding method. Laser welding is mainly used for the welding of thin-walled sheet metal and precision parts, which can complete overlap welding, seal welding, spot welding, butt welding etc. With perfect welding finish LNB has many advantages, such as small weld width, small heat affected zone, small deformation plus smooth welds without air holes and high positioning accuracy.
Since 2022 Atlas Metal has been introducing LBW to sheet metal fabrication, initially it was based on efforts to reduce welding deformation and improve welding efficiency in sheet metal fabricating.
